Dean,
From Melbourne, Australia.
I have been playing Tonk since my days at university 10 years ago and Rummy since the age of 11. I am a Rummy enthusiast and Tonk is one of my favourite games of Rummy although as I play mostly with Brits, I play mainly Kalooki especially when I am playing online.
I stopped playing Rummy for a while and went to player poker but I got bored of it quickly so now I have gone back to Rummy. I probably should not be saying this although it should be fine as I did not put my family name in this email, but I play Rummy mainly at work against guys and nowadays even against girls. I used to play Tonk almost daily at university but nowadays with life getting busier as we all get older only about once a month.

Tonk is the ultimate drinking game. Yes, the ultimate! All you need is to get a couple of people a few beers and go! We always play for money but it’s never too heavy because we keep the games light at a maximum of $0.50 per hand.

I am not a Aussie but originally from Scotland. Cards is in the blood of my family and Rummy is the game of Christmas, Easter and Bank Holidays. When I game to Australia I saw Tonk being big here so I am playing this nowadays and getting quite good.
My best game is actually not Tonk but Gin Rummy and I get a good 3-4 hours a week of online Gin Rummy.
